Are Male Pectoral Breast Implants Safe?
Male Breast Enhancement Surgery: Male Pectoral Implants
The term male breast enhancement has two meanins in todays world.
We are all familiar with cross dressers or transvestites which generally involve men dressing and behaving like women whether it be for entertainment purposes of day to day lifestyle. However, some men take these matters a step further and undergo a transgender or pursue a sex change in which they totally transforms them into women. Many of these men undergo male breast enhancement surgery inorder for them to grow natural looking female breasts and look more feminine in the eyes of the public. However, male breast enhancement surgery is not limited to the simple fact of getting breast implants.
Many of today's men are seeking male breast enhancement surgery for other purposes. For centuries a man with a strong chest has been related to being tough, determined, and confident. That is why in comic books and cartoons, you always see the super hero with a strong powerful looking chest, standing tall above his opposition. Unfortunately, genetics tends to hold back some men from developing powerful looking pecs no matter how hard they hit the gym and despite exahusting bench press workouts.
Therefore male breast enhancement surgery has become quite popular with men looking for a stronger chest and more confident posture. The enhancement of male breasts involves an insertion of male pectoral implants into the man's chest area. Although it does not and will not improve the actual chest muscle definition of the man's pecs, it will enhance the appearance and overall structure of the man's chest.
The male pectoral implants used in male breast enhancement surgery are made of a flexible and durable silicone which is soft in nature and looks very much like the shape of a man's pectoral muscle. The best part of these silicone implants is that they are not made of the same controversial material used in some of the female breast enhancement sugeries of the past.
Male breast enhancement surgery is performed in one day. There is absolutely no need for an overnight stay at a hospital under typical terms. Therefore it is known as an outpatient basis and many men are happy about that because it tends to make the entire male breast enhancement surgery procedure less frightening. Anasthesia is used so no pain will be felt during the three hour process. The procedure involves an incision in the armpit area which will allow for the male pectoral implant to be inserted underneath the muscle area. Normally, an endoscope is used to guide the implant into its place without any errors.
While this type of procedure involves numerous high risks of implant infection, seroma disease, hematoma, and even a loss of sensation in the pectoral muscles, many men are still plunging over the $5000 to $7000 fee to undergo male breast enhancement surgery. I am not one to advocate such a procedure and would advise any man considering male breast enhancement surgery to truly think this through and make an effort to build a naturally stronger looking chest through targeted chest exercises and proper nutrition. Cosmetic surgery is just too expensive and too risky for my taste.
